Pix at Sarawak Cultural Village - Rumah Cina

Entrance to the Sarawak Cultural Village where we were given our "passport" that we will collect stamps from every house we visited.

Some of the wood carvings near the entrance.

More interesting wood carvings

First stop - Rumah Cina (i.e. Chinese Traditional Hse)

This is how it looks like from the outside.

Front door of the Rumah Cina.

Pepper plant in front of the house... Orang Bandar perak.... 1st time seeing pepper plant live.
Some old machinery to separate the peppercorn from their kernel - I think....

A shed outside of the hse... It's even bigger than the main house itself! Upon closer inspection...

It's a furnace to "burn" / make pottery... Here's hubby feeling ridiculous standing beside it, but I insisted... :-p

Sigh... takes ages to upload pix... Part 1 first lar... Will upload the rest of the pix later....

Pix at the oldest temple in Kuching

Finally! Photos of my Kuching Trip!

The cat with many kittens around it... refer to my previous post for the story (Kuching - Day 1)

Dinner at a famous eatery above a car park complex! You get to choose wht you want to eat from the selection above & they'll cook in your choice of style. Can't decide between 2 veges? No worries! Just pile up as many different types as you want & they'll cook it for you (but all 1 type lar... dun expect, mutiple plates with a few leaves each! Love the pucuk paku... but in Kuching they call it "bidin".

Hubby posing by the Kuching river...

This is the single cat I was talking abt...

This is the "gateway" to Kuching's Chinatown.
